Restylane Refyne Specialist Questions and Answers
Restylane Refyne Specialist Questions and Answers

Whether you have an important event coming up or would like to get a touch up to ward off some wrinkles and fine lines, a treatment such as Restylane® Refyne injections could be precisely what the doctor ordered! At Remedi Plastic Surgery and Medspa, we would be delighted to provide you with Restylane® Refyne treatment so that you can experience the subtle and promising effects to help you look and feel beautiful!

How long does Restylane Refyne last?

With the proper treatment and skin care, the results from Restylane® Refyne fillers can last up to 12 months! That said, some patients may require a touch-up approximately six to nine months after the initial injection is administered. Moreover, certain lifestyle choices and habits can impact how long your results last, such as smoking, the amount of movement in the injection site, sun exposure, the rate of your metabolism, and how extensive the wrinkles, fine lines, or folds are at the time of treatment. At Remedi Plastic Surgery and Medspa, our Restylane® Refyne specialists are committed to providing the highest quality of treatment and aftercare instructions so that your results can last as long as possible.

What is the difference between Restylane Refyne and Defyne?

The primary difference between Restylane® Refyne and Restylane® Defyne is the thickness of the hyaluronic acid (HA) gel used in the injection. Since Restylane® Defyne uses a thicker form of HA gel, it is used to treat deeper and more severe wrinkles and fine lines, as well as areas of the face that have experienced volume loss. In contrast, Restylane® Refyne uses a smoother form of HA gel and is used to provide a more subtle effect on mild to moderate wrinkles and fine lines.

Both Restylane® Refyne and Restylane® Defyne use XpressIOn TechnologyTM, a specialized form of Hyaluronic acid gel that provides the fillers with more flexibility, resulting in a more natural look and feel than other types of dermal fillers.

Can Restylane Refyne be used in lips?

Restylane® Refyne fillers are an excellent option for lip augmentation and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles around the lips and perioral area.

What is Restylane Refyne used for?

Restylane® Refyne has been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in patients over the age of 21. It is especially beneficial on areas of the face where there is frequent motion, such as laugh lines, marionette lines, and forehead lines.

Restylane® Refyne uses hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar molecule that naturally occurs in your body, especially in the fluid near the joints and eyes. Hyaluronic acid helps smoothen wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating collagen and elastin growth. As we age, our skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, which are fibroblast proteins instrumental in healing wounds and generating new and firm connective tissues. As such, the loss of collagen and elastin naturally causes skin laxity, wrinkles, fine lines, and most other cosmetic issues with a person’s skin. However, Restylane® Refyne dermal fillers are a great way to combat such skin-related cosmetic issues!
